Entering this room, one “catches” Alona Rodeh’s dog in a very intimate moment. The adorable, furry little creature, which we would normally expect to find among a bunch of children’s toys, is suddenly seen in a different light, busy masturbating against a column. Upon catching this cute little animal publicly engaging in behavior which we like to think of as very “human” and which is performed in private, we might feel embarrassed. Rodeh leads us, humans, to reflect on issues which we ordinarily choose to ignore or refuse to acknowledge, such as the sexual and broader physical needs of the animals surrounding us.
