The journey of two miniature figures takes place inside a disposable paper plate. The man holds a piece of cardboard, on which a woman is carried, reaching him and leaving in a paper boat. Gazit’s disposable materials indicate a weightless, meaningless world where the figures turn around in an endless counterclockwise loop.
The routes of the figures’ journeys split and intersect intermittently, but none of them leads anywhere. Like the trajectories of planets or the hands of a clock, the figures will forever progress in the same minute-long cycles. Their moment of encounter may elicit a shadow of hope for their deliverance from the trap and isolation, but this hope is soon dissipated, and the scenario repeats itself. The figures are imprisoned within time and in their world, possibly seeking an exit, possibly accepting their dictated role.
