Fatima Abu Roomi’s works portray the complexity of her life as a Palestinian woman in Israel, and are expressive of both resistance and belonging. In her paintings and drawings of recent years, she combines images of herself with fabrics, carpets, and textiles that forge a dialogue between personal identity, cultural-gender traditions, and political reality.
