The work exhibited here is a version that follows and develops a 2008 drawing entitled “Life Span of a Green Marker”: a drawing of one horizontal, repetitive line. The current piece also focuses on a constant, repetitive movement. The movement is inscribed with a line, and in so doing documents the wear of the drawing tool all the way to its disappearance. “The experiment” has changed; the brand of marker has changed, as well as the shade of the marker and the motion of the drawing.
