Fishof’s slow walk marked the 5th anniversary of Longplayer, a 1000 year long musical composition by Jem Finer. Longplayer has been playing since January 1, 2000, in five different posts around the world, and is intended to continue playing uninterrupted and without repeating itself, until its planned ending on December 31, 2999.

A Slow Walk for Longplayer is part of the Longplayer events, forming a first chapter in a series of very slow walks which Fishof intends to lead in major international cities, while teaming with local goals, organizations and projects focusing on time and long-term thought.
