In this video piece the artist is seen with his skin painted black, wearing work clothes – overalls and a checkered shirt. Sitting on the floor in an empty room, he drums with two sticks on a tree trunk in an endless loop. Leiderman, dressed as an African, repeats the same simple, monotonous rhythm, producing a scene which is at once ridiculous and perplexing..
