Luigi Coppola’s video On Social Metamorphosis (2012) is founded on the principle that new social concepts require a new language to be heard. The artist collaborated with singers, comedians, and other artists, in formulating a utopian manifesto which they sing as a choir. The manifesto is inspired by blogger Paul Jorion, a journalist who created one of the most influential platforms for discussion of the economic, political, and social climate in Europe today. Following the present economic crisis, Jorion and a team of intellectuals created a think-tank, and called upon citizens to suggest ideas by which to formulate principles for a new society.
